Termites seek moisture and when it’s right next to the house they’ll come right in! Scorpions have to reserve body moisture in the heat and seek moist areas. Bark mulch is a prime shelter for scorpions, plus they usually find other bugs to eat in there too.

OVER-WATERING
Most watering systems are set daily, but every 2 – 3 days is sufficient to keeps plants GREEN but also keep pests CONTROLLED. Keeping soil and mulch around the foundation too wet creates the PERFECT conditions for TERMITES, earwigs, millipedes, cockroaches, crickets, ANTS, and other pests.

Plants TOO Close
Plants and bushes that are planted too close to the foundation {or not trimmed back from the building} allow ANTS, Rodents, and other pests, to trail strait onto the building.
VINES and thick ground cover plants are also very conducive to PESTS – attracting rats, mice, and other insects! Plant shrubs far enough away, or trim existing grass and bushes away, from the foundation and make sure they do not contact your home, office, or building!
