Lots of Arizona pests can quickly become a nuisance in your home from time to time! These occasional invaders include: Centipedes, Earwigs, Springtails, Silverfish, Ground Beetles, to name a few. These pests find their way into your home when outside weather becomes inhospitable.
Seal Your Home
- Repair damage and SEAL cracks! Using silicone – latex calk, seal around windows, doors, incoming pipes, and siding.
- Reduce moisture! Most pests are attracted to moist areas. Check for leaky pipes under sinks, and check for moisture build up. Dehumidifiers are very effective in drying out problem areas after the problem is fixed!
- Remove debris on exterior! Eliminate leaves, mulch, landscaping scraps, etc from the outside of your home to eliminate harborage areas. Store firewood at least 20 feet from your home!
- Change outside lights to yellow bulbs – Lots of bugs are attracted to bright lights outside at night. Yellow bulbs are less attractive to pests.
