Like so many other people leaving comments, I’ve lived here my whole life and have only encountered 3 or 4 over the course of 38 years. We just moved back to Phoenix from Northern California and have been unsung 3-4 scorpions a DAY in my home. A few babies but mostly grown bark scorpions. Spraying hasn’t helped. They’re terrifying, I’m wearing sneakers to bed and making my kids sleep with me. I found one in my 3 year olds bed last week and another one relaxing in her little dress up outfits.
Every little movement I see from the corner of my eye makes me jump and scream.
I need these domestic terrorists gone.

The little scorpions are kind of cute they like to play hide and seek. They crawl around in the rocks on the side of my yard and they will play hide and seek with you I’m totally serious about this and not there to hurt you they’re just trying to stay alive

They are building a car wash behind my house and they paved the whole lot that used to be dirt and all the Scorpions from that area have moved over to my neighborhood. I have to put netting over my air conditioning vents because that’s where they find a way inside. They are on the ceiling or wall most of the time. I purchased a Giant UV flashlight and I go on nightly hunting trips around my house. I got 4 last night. They are all bark scorpians of all sizes. The first time I went hunting I Killed 50 and my neighbor 40. I have an all glass top table that I slept on for a few nights after that because they cant crawl on glass. None have threatened me whatsoever. They are very afraid of people. They always run and hide. They only sting you if they are threatened.

1855 W Raven Dr Chandler, AZ 85286. We have lived in this house for over 4 years and we swear we are living on top of the biggest NEST in the AZ. No other pest control company has been able to rid us of these pests. We are finding BARK scorpions ALL over inside and outside the home. Living in AZ since I was 6 years old and am now 37 years old, my first time ever being stung by a scorpion was in this very house. My son’s girlfriend was just stung two days ago. We live next to a common area and do have a pool in the backyard. For the last year I have felt defeated and have just learned to live along side them, but this year, we are finding them everywhere and are finding them upstairs on the carpeting. Not even in sinks. In the past 2 days, we have killed 4 scorpions inside the house. We do not walk around with no shoes on. We take black lights out at night with us if we go outside. Seeing bushes light up like Christmas trees is not fun at all

I am currently dog sitting and house sitting at my Grandmas, I used to live with them but moved out a few years ago. They have always had scorpions, but nothing my cat and I could not kill and keep somewhat under control.
so on to dog sitting. I arrived on a Tuesday afternoon, I brought my black light and was ready to hunt. I was in for a surprise. they are every 4 to 5 feet. on the walls of the fence, ground and even crawling through and onto the grass. first night I smashed around 40. then my Fiance bought me a rake handle. think 5 ft pole. I spent 4 days smashing every night 2x’s a night. Both times killing around 30 or so. I killed moms with babies, big ones and smaller babies. the last few days I have been collecting them in a large jar. I have around 40 so far. I see them even in the day time inside the house.
She claims to never see them, or notice them but she is so infested, she claims to have a bug guy come, but obviously they are incompetent.
I have been stung over 3 times in her house. I am terrified for her and her dog.

When we first moved into our home 4 years ago my wife saw a scorpion in our home, this terrified her as neither of us ever seen a live scorpion and I’ve been in Phoenix since 1984 and she came here in 1985. Then it started, we saw scorpions on the walls, ceilings, floors, under cabinets, in cabinets, in the showers and more! We were ready to move so I decided to go to a pest control do it your self store, after talking with the owner he told me to buy a black light and go scorpion hunting at night. So armed with a long thin knife I set my alarm clock for 2 am and we both went out “hunting”. The very first night we killed 70+ scorpions on the outside of our house, mainly in the slump block construction. Then we went out the 2nd night but this time earlier, we killed close to 60. Thats over 100 scorpions of all sizes in just 2 nights in the city of Phoenix at 43rd ave and Greenway rd. We didn’t go out the 3rd night as we both had early mornings but I continued, the 4th night I killed about 30, followed by nights of 20. As the month wore down we estimated we killed about 400+ scorpions on our 1 acre parcel, but I only went hunting around the exterior of the house and the interior.
I cleaned all the wood away from the house, raked the leaves up, removed and hiding spots, trimmed bushes and the biggest thing was to go after the scorpions food source and keep taking the fight to them! I used diatomaceous earth around the inside and outside of the house as well as some lethal chemical the pest store sold me. It really started to work as I was seeing only 1-4 a week and then none. We won or so we thought. This past few months I’ve started seeing them in the house again and even outside. Its obvious we need professional help but we’re concerned because we have pets, 3 clydesdale horses, 7 chickens and 6 rescue German Shepherds and I’d hate for any f them to be stung, I’ve been stung 2x and let me say, it HURTS!
Thank you
Rick
